Fogadócsaládok hete - Host Families´ Week

Immár 3. éve fogadja a Monor Hegyessy Lions Klub múlhatatlan izgalommal a Lions cserediákokat a magyarországi YEC tábor helyszínén, Monoron a Nyerges Hotel Termálban. Óriási élményekkel érkeztek meg táborozóink az első fogadócsaládi hétről. A Nyíregyházi LC tagjai és barátai, ismerősei 6 diákunkat fogadták Jeles Emőke és Attila koordinálásával. Egész héten minden nap közös programokat szervezve nekik.

Meglátogatták a Legó gyárat, az állatkertet, volt Magyar táncház, eveztek az öreg Túron, meglátogatták a tiszadobi Andrássy kastélyt. A Győr környéki diákoknak Szilágyi Juditék szerveztek közös hajókázást Mosoni - Dunán, A Gödöllő környéki diákoknak és fogadócsaládjaiknak Csaba Zsolt szervezett egy kerti partit, a Gödöllő Lions Klub által támogatott újraélesztés oktatással, melyet imádtak a fiatalok.

A találkozón rögtönzött táncház alakult, lengyel török és magyar táncokkal. Az egyik indiai diákunk 3 napos budapesti városnézés után egy diáktábor kellős közepébe csöppent, ahonnan sírva búcsúztatták. Az amerikai diákunk nagyon meglepőnek találta, hogy fogadócsaládja minden költségét vállalta, ami nekünk Magyar fogadócsaládoknak természetes, s büszkék vagyunk a híres Magyar vendégszeretetre.

For the 3rd year in a row, the Monor Hegyessy Lions Club has been welcoming Lions exchange students with undiminished excitement at the Hungarian YEC camp venue, the Nyerges Hotel Thermal in Monor. Our campers returned from their first host family week full of unforgettable experiences.

The members of the Nyíregyháza Lions Club, together with their friends and acquaintances, hosted 6 of our students under the coordination of Emőke and Attila Jeles, organizing shared programs for them every single day. They visited the LEGO factory, the zoo, enjoyed a Hungarian folk dance evening, rowed on the old Túr river, and visited the Andrássy Castle in Tiszadob.

For the students staying around Győr, Judit Szilágyi arranged a boat trip on the Mosoni-Danube. For those near Gödöllő, Zsolt Csaba organized a garden party for the students and their host families, supported by the Gödöllő Lions Club with a resuscitation training that the youngsters absolutely loved. The event spontaneously turned into a lively dance house, with Polish, Turkish, and Hungarian dances.

One of our Indian students, after a 3-day sightseeing tour in Budapest, suddenly found themselves in the middle of a student camp, from where they were tearfully seen off. Our American student was very surprised that their host family covered all their expenses—something that is completely natural for Hungarian host families, who are proud to showcase the famous Hungarian hospitality.
